The Art of Vinyasa Krama Yoga Fundamental Sequences

12 Mondays: Mornings or Evenings

April 4 – June 20

Mornings 9:30 – 12:30 or Evenings 5:30 – 8:30

Students will gain an experiential knowledge of the poses, counterposes and sequences linked together by breath as developed by Srivatsa Ramaswami, a long-time student of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya who is known as the Father of Western Yoga.  We will explore Srivatsa Ramaswami’s book “The Complete Book of Vinyasa Yoga” in this 12-week intensive course. $600

Pranayama: The Breath of Yoga Fundamentals, Preparation and Techniques

4 Wednesdays: Mornings or Evenings

April 6 – April 27

Mornings 9:30 – 12:30 or Evenings 5:30 – 8:30

Students will gain a working knowledge of various breathing techniques and how to apply in a therapeutic setting. Pranayama: The Breath of Yoga by Gregor Maehle text will be used to explore beginner and intermediate Pranayama Techniques. Topics will include: Fundamentals of and Preparation for Pranayama; Techniques: Ujjayi/Bhastrika, Dosha-Changing Pranayamas, Kundalini and Meditation Pranayamas. $200

The Yoga Sutras Ashtanga Yoga: Practice and Philosophy

3 Weekends

April 9 & 10, 23 & 24, May 14 & 15

Students will read and understand how the sutras are applied to a modern yoga discipline, including exploration of the Yamas and Niyamas as a model to practicing and teaching ethically. Ashtanga Yoga: Practice and Philosophy by Gregor Maehle text will be used to thoroughly discuss and explore the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. $300

Our amazing instructors draw from many traditions including Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Thai Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and the yogic and meditation traditions of Tibet. With this vast knowledge of the yoga tradition and the intrinsic understanding of the human body, our instructors will guide you through a practice that is not only physically challenging, but also mentally stimulating and emotionally uplifting.
