Kids Yoga Summer 2017

Yoga Tots: (crawlers to 2 year olds)

Join us for a collaborative practice incorporating Acro, Hatha, and Iyengar yoga with storytelling and imaginative play. Expect to play and pose together while the instructor guides you through a series of poses that correspond with the story of the day. These classes will encourage the growth of your toddler’s play-oriented mind to focus and foster mindfulness through yoga. This fun class provides key bonding moments between the caregiver and child(ren), while strengthening their growing muscles. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Class time: Fridays 11:30 am – 12:00 pm (optional 15 minute play time after) Instructor: Erin

Yoga Sprouts: (3-8 year olds)

Fun, inspiration classes that combine simple yoga poses with engaging songs, stories, and games. Your child will have a blast in this high-energy, exciting class while benefiting from improved strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Each class will end with breathing and visualization techniques that will help children learn how to focus and center themselves. 3- and 4-year-old students must be accompanied by a participating adult. Families are welcome to attend together.

Class time: Thursdays 11:00- 11:45 am Instructor: Amy

Yoga Tweens: (9-13 year olds)

Build strength and functional flexibility with more physically challenging postures and flowing sequences. These classes will help foster self-confidence, awareness, and control. Visualization and breathing exercises are used for overall balance and concentration, which can be applied toward everyday situations. Class is 45 minutes.

Class Time: Mondays 3:15- 4:00 pm Instructor: Erin

Tranquil Heart Yoga

Our amazing instructors draw from many traditions including Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Thai Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and the yogic and meditation traditions of Tibet. With this vast knowledge of the yoga tradition and the intrinsic understanding of the human body, our instructors will guide you through a practice that is not only physically challenging, but also mentally stimulating and emotionally uplifting.
